Typhoon Lagoon

We would just like to inform everyone that the typhoon did not touch us and we are sorry if anyone worried (as much as our parents.) The typhoon raged over Manila before hitting central coast of Vietnam, a little south of Danang. We are in Dalat in the central highlands in the mountains, therefore a glorified “hurricane” didn’t really touch us aside from some rain and wind. To assuage some fears about our safety in Vietnam, most of the population can’t swim and only 30 people died. We feel deeply for the people in Manila and in central Vietnam who are struggling with loss and uncomfortable conditions, but we are fine.

We will keep the blog train chugging as we finish up our time in Vietnam over the next 10 days and head into Cambodia! So excited for Angkor Wat, the South coast, Amok fish, bamboo trains and trekking in the North. Miss everyone!
